Great food for this breed

I tried this dog food as I have a 5 year old labrador who for some reason gets itchy feet and mouth. I was advised to change her food, and so far this seems to be helping

Great food. I've been using Dr John's Titanium for over a decade for my naughty Rotties, beautiful St Bernard & lumpy English Mastiff, ranging in weight from 32kgs-76kgs. They all love it. Coats shiny & rich, poops good & solid. Ideal for big breeds, with green lip muscle for those joints that need extra nutrition.
I'd highly recommend. Price really good, too. At time if writing, £22.99 for 15kgs bag.

How much dog food should i feed my 30kg Pudelpointer dog?
For dogs within weighing between 25 - 45kg the suggested amount is 370g - 700g.

When should I change to the titanium food, and is it a junior food, we have our 6 year old on it already
Dr. John Titanium is a complete food suitable for dogs over 4 months of age. It can be fed dry, or moistened to the consistency that your dog prefers. When feeding for the first time it is suggested that you introduce the food gradually over a few days until it replaces all other dog food.

How much puppy food per day, in weight, should I be feeding my 6.6kg puppy? She is almost 12 weeks old. Unfortunately, my husband discarded the packaging!!!
I have provided the feeding guidelines in an image below, I recommend referring to this as your puppy grows. You should feed for the expected adult weight, for example if your dog is a labrador and expected to be ~30kg then a 3 month pup should get 460-610g of feed per day.

I have been giving my pup dr johns Puppy food mixed with water. Her stools are very loose. Is it now time for titanium? She is 4 months old
You should be feeding puppy food until your dog is 12 to 18 months old. If your puppy's stools are loose then I would advise reading our blog on the approach to diarrhoea. A link to this can be found here.

Anyone know what type of Dr John dog food is best for a male siberian husky with sensetive stomach?
The Titanum (Platinum) version would probably be best, but sensitive stomachs can be for different reasons, so you might need to talk to your vet about this if any problems persist. Make sure he has been wormed recently too.

Hi I been told to change dogs diet to a high fibre as he sufferers with his anul glands. He is a very active 2 yrs old springer cross labrador Could you recommend which one to get .thank you .
This is quite a high fibre diet and might well suit your dog. This is the sort of thing you have to try for a while to see how it works out.

Dr John dog food has been recommended to me by a friend of a friend whose dog is the same breed as mine with the same health problems. Is it possible to purchase a smaller bag or sample as my dog is rather a fussy eater and so I don't want to purchase a 15th bag in case she doesn't like it.
Unfortunately we do not have any sizes available other than those listed on the website. This is always a difficulty for online companies. You might be best to go to a high street store for small samples as then they do not have to cover postage either. (I am tempted to add that Dr John is a perfectly good basic dog food, but is not normally recommended as part of a treatment for health problems. I would have to wonder if you would do better talking to your vet about this rather than a friend of a friend. Just a thought.)

I have a 7month husky I'm looking to start him on the platinum do u think it will be ok
This diet is a good value diet but as you would expect, not as high in quality as some of the premium diets which are a lot more expensive. There ares some diets which are much higher in protein and lower (or zero) in cereal content which I tend to prefer, but they are in a different price bracket. Many dogs do perfectly well on the Dr John diets.

As this food is so cheap compared to others, can it be any good.
To some extent you get what you pay for. However, some brands spend more on marketing and appearance than they do on the product itself. The margins made by the top manufacturers are probably very high too. This is a basic food which will keep most dogs without any medical issues in apparently good general health, but they are unlikely to be as robust, bright and shiny-coated as those on the top foods.
