If you would like to determine the correct size rug for your horse. You can easily measure them by using a soft tape measure (or a piece of string). Simply start horizontally from the centre of the chest to the end of the rump.

Another option, if you already have a good fitting rug, we recommend laying the rug out flat on the floor and measuring from the centre of the chest to the end of the rug.

1. UK rug sizes are usually sized in three-inch increments. Sizes are given in feet and inches and refers to the distance from the centre of the chest of the horse around the body, to the rear of the quarters where you expect the rug to finish.

2. US rug sizes are usually sized in three-inch increments. Sizes are given in inches. The measurement refers to the distance from the centre of the chest of the horse around the body, to the rear of the quarters where you expect the rug to finish.

3. European rug sizes are in increments of 5cm. The measurement refers to the horse’s back length from the highest point of the withers to the top of the tail.

4. If your horse is between sizes, we recommend choosing the bigger size.
